As some people may know I have an unhealthy obsession with the band Judah and the Lion, so of course I'm listening to their latest album Folk Hop n' Roll that was released this past Friday! I'm going to make a confession... I didn't really like the album when I first heard it on the exclusive stream on Sound-cloud (seemingly blasphemous statement I know). I had no idea what they were doing to that folky style music I had fallen in love with. However, since the Sound-cloud stream, myself along with six other Judah converts headed to Nashville, TN for their second concert in their 2016 tour. THE BEST concert I have ever been to. Never have I seen band members just go out into the crowd to dance with people or have such passion in knowing what they are doing. Not to mention I got to touch Judah not once, but TWICE! *tries to breath without squealing*
...........Recollection.............
Okay, so anyways after seeing Judah and the Lion perform their latest album I have come to love their new style. Forever, and Always.

Another favorite album I have been listening to on the reg is Horizon Line by an alternative rock band that opened up for J+TL in Nashville, TN called Future Thieves. Of course, with any opening band at first you feel like you're tolerating anything that's not who you came to see, but on occasion there are the gems. I'm constantly listening to to Future Thieves whenever I'm doing homework, or just bee boppin' around town. One thing I especially like about this band is that they don't sound like your typical alternative rock such as Rise Against, Yellowcard, or old Fallout Boy (don't get me wrong I love these bands just as much as the next kid filled with teenage angst). Future Thieves just offered a little bit more depth, an variety to the alternative rock world. Let's also not forget that their drummer is a fireball of talent tucked loosely into a vintage skipper hat who cools himself down to the PBR he brings on stage with him. "Your favorite song is goin' off in my head..."

Let's get nostalgic and kick it back to the 80s with a little bit of Little River Band. It's kind of tragic that I didn't hear about this band until watching The Other Guys, but hey once you get there, you're there. I have two of their vinyl now, including the one pictured above, I honestly really like the artwork for this record along with it's classic 80s keyboard cardio chimes. Don't even ask me what my favorite song is because of course it's Reminiscing which happens to be the song they listened to in The Other Guys, but I can't get the picture of Will Ferrell and Matt Damon cruising around in a bright red Prius out of my head. If you're reading this I hope it's Friday night, gettin late... you know you know the rest..
